Walkin on the sun

Walkin On The Sun - Smash Mouth

Ah, ah!

Susmariajosep!

(hehehe)

Lucky Pick!

(sabay ngisi)

Lol. Totoong nangyari yaan.

Early to Bed...

early to rise, makes a man, healthy, wealthy and wise.

Parang nasa kabilang barrio yung kausap eh.

Mukhang yung rhyme eh mali. Kasi yung bida laang yung nakikinabang, paano yung sidekick?

Passing the Torch

Inuman at Inuman ulit

Nakareceive ako ng text mula kay Benjo:

Inuman? (Y/N)

Whatcha Doin...

...Tito Mon?

Iya shouted from the dining table as I went in the house.

"Just got in, how bout you? Whatcha doin Iya?"

"Eating pepperoni!"

WTF. Where did she get that word? Man, kids really grow up fast these days.

So I went closer to Iya for the usual "high five!" and "very high five!" and helped Tita Oye feed Iya with soup, fish fillets, and yes, pepperoni pizza.

I was giving Iya a small portion of pepperoni when she spat out a few pieces of chewed fillets. She, then, looked at me and told me, "Tito Mon! Messy!"

hahaha. Kulit.

Goooooooooooooool!

Camp Nou's scoreboard lighted as my striker found the bottom corner of the goal post beating his defender and the keeper!

Oh yeah! Euro Champions once again (actually, it's 4th time with AC Milan).

and, WTF, it's 2:00am (and we'll be fetching my dad at the airport at 5!)

Fifa addiction at its best (and worst.)

addedum:

Voltz texted the same time and told me that Shevchenko and Ronaldinho were aggressive that he can't play Kaka as a scorer.  But later he texted that Kaka finished the game with a goal and 2 assists (or is it 2 goals and an assists?)

Dad, Cometh

My dad arrived the the airport at around 6:00am last Tuesday. My cousin, Kuya Jay, and my dad's friend, Ka Aning, met him inside the airport and helped him go through the immigration thing faster than other passengers. He came back here to see my uncle and, well, to rest.

For those who doesn't know, my dad had a quad bypass last Thanksgiving and his chest looks something like this:

The red line is where they cut the ribs to bring his heart out and the three dots are where the tubes were placed during the operation. Plus he has few marks on his right leg, where they got the veins for his heart. The bones, btw, were connected again by staple wires.

(kaya tumigil na kayo sa pag iinom at pag sisigarilyo. :p )
Anyway, my aunt was worried about my dad but seeing my dad's swagger and hearing usual vocabulary, I know he's A-Ok. As my brother said in the familay email "magmumura na ulit kaya maayos na yan."

LOL.

Recession and the Line of Thought of the 'em oldies

While on our way back to Lipa, inside the car:

Papa: Ang hirap ngaun sa US.

Booyakasha!

Why cant we pantomime?

The Great Beyond
R.E.M
[Man from the Moon OST]

Ive watched the stars fall silent from your eyes
All the sights that I have seen
I cant believe that I believed I wished
That you could see
Theres a new planet in the solar system
Theres nothing up my sleeve

(chorus 1)
Im pushing an elephant up the stairs
Im tossing up punchlines that were never there
Over my shoulder a piano falls
Crashing to the ground

And all this talk of time
Talk is fine
And I dont want to stay around
Why cant we pantomime, just close our eyes
And sleep sweet dreams
Being here with wings on our feet

(repeat chorus 1)

(chorus 2)
Im breaking through
Im bending spoons
Im keeping flowers in full bloom
Im looking for answers from the great beyond

I want the hummingbirds, the dancing bears
Sweetest dreams of you
Look into the stars
Look into the moon

(repeat chorus 1)

(repeat chorus 2 2x)

Im breaking through
Im bending spoons
Im keeping flowers in full bloom
Im looking for answers from the great, answers from the great
Im breaking through
Im bending spoons
Im keeping flowers in full bloom
Im looking for answers from the great, answers from the great, answers

Perhaps a letter with a dove :)

Morning Elegance
Oren Lavie

Sun been down for days
A pretty flower in a vase
A slipper by the fireplace
A cello lying in its case

Soon she's down the stairs
Her morning elegance she wears
The sound of water makes her dream
Awoken by a cloud of steam
She pours a daydream in a cup
A spoon of sugar sweetens up

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain
As it pours
And she fights for her life
As she goes in a store
With a thought she has caught
By a thread
She pays for the bread
And She goes...
Nobody knows

Sun been down for days
A winter melody she plays
The thunder makes her contemplate
She hears a noise behind the gate
Perhaps a letter with a dove
Perhaps a stranger she could love

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain
As it pours
And she fights for her life
As she goes in a store
With a thought she has caught
By a thread
She pays for the bread
And She goes...
Nobody knows

And She fights for her life
As she puts on her coat
And she fights for her life on the train
She looks at the rain
As it pours
And she fights for her life
Where people are pleasently strange
And counting the change
And She goes...
Nobody knows

On our side of things - Don't open

Wanted to post this here before I delete my email copy. :)

Our great grandfather, Faustino Macasaet, had daughters and an only son, Mamay Doroteo Macasaet, who married Juana de Joya, sister of Justice de Joya. Mamay Tio did not have a child. The daughters of our Great Gandfather, Faustino, were my Grandmother Dionesia, Tomasa ( your grandmother) , Luisa, the mother of Tio Pablo Silva and another daughter, the mother of Tia Arsenia Landicho. So the Macasaet name died with our branch of the family

Fortunately my grandmother, Dionesia , married a cousin, Anacleto Macasaet. So it was just in my branch of the family that the Macasaet named was maintained. Inay and her brother, Dr. Valentin Macasaet ( first veterinarian of Batangas ) were Macasaet. Dr. Romeo Macasaet, Dean Avelino Macasaet of U.P. Dentistry are sons of Kakang Valentin Macasaet. They carried the Macasaet name. So in our branch of the Macasaet Family, we became, Cuevas, Olgado, Silva, Landicho. Thanks to our forebearers, they stressed their name as Don ( PM ) Pablo Macasaet Silva, Atty Bonifacio Macasaet Cuevas etc.

A brother of our great grandfather, was Tiburcio Macasaet, the great grandfather of Renato Lumbera, who was your neighbor at Espana St.( remember him - god-son  of Tio Pacio.) In this branch the Macasaet name died also as Rene Lumbera's great grandfather had two daughters and a son, who had an only daughter - the mother of Rene Lumbera.

Our great grandfather, I believe, had another brother who might have been the grandfather of Ate Rita Ealla( here the Macasaet name also died as Ate Rita was the only child of Tio Paulo Macasaet), and another brother, the grandfather of Ate Martha Macasaet ( a doctor in Lakeland, Florida), daughter of Dr. Simeon Macasaet of Davao. Another brother might have been the father of Dr. Ramon Macasaet. and gradfather of Dr. Robert Macasaet.

What I have traced above are our immediate Macasaet relatives. Other Macasaets must have been first cousins of our great grandfather, Faustino Macasaet. It must be from this cousins that the Macasaets proliferated. I had an intention of organizing a reunion for the above relatives with creating a schism with the other Macasaets, where it is hard to trace now how we are related. In fact I financed the 2002 reunion when General Erning Macasaet of Davao ( Inay's nephew from her father's side ) and Celita Castillo Cabigao ( grand daughter of Nanay Seniang Macasaet Oreta ofBatangas City ) were presidents of the clan.

For all it's worth...

6th Lombardi Trophy Y'all!!!

thank you, Lord!
(and Holmes, too!)

The Dream Begins - a 55 word story

He left his football just across the border - but never his dream.

For from the dusty Mexican barrio to the complex LA suburb,

he held on to his dream.

Problems: come and gone, still he held on

– going straight towards the goal - football.

And then, just then, the dream found him at

St James' Park.

-----

A crack at the 55 word story - about the movie: Goal: The Dream Begins. This movie officially becomes number two of the best sports story ever written in my book. Ever. (yeah, still downloading the second movie.)

Inspiración.

and yes, umiyak ako dito... at least di sa HSM. hahaha.
